Beach Art

If you saw this weeks Inspired Interiors post, you know I’ve got beach vibes on the brain.  You also know that I won’t be heading to the beach until August, so in addition to lusting over enviable beach houses, I’m obsessed with beach inspired art.

These four artists will have you feeling the sights, sounds and smells of the beach in no time, so much so you may not even feel the need to leave your land locked abode … maybe …

Positano, Italy is one of my favorite places on Earth.  As if the incredible views from the town etched into the mountain side wasn’t special enough, the limoncello and incredible seafood puts it over the top.  Gray Malin captures Positano beautifully in his famous Positano Town.  His images of beaches around the world depict the joy of surf and sand perfectly.  Oh how I wish I was back in Italy.

I don’t think anyone captures the calm and peace of beach time and the ocean, like Christine Flynn.  Soft, pretty and idyllic, her work instantly slows my breathing and makes me smile.

Like Malin, Dean West’s images exude joy and vibrancy. Don’t you just want to dive into that water?

Judith Gigliotti offers beautifully washed out and over exposed images that capture the light of beach life perfectly.  You know, when you wake up from a lazy nap and struggle to regain focus because of the brightness, ya that.  Perfection.
